Hello, my name is Karyn Smith and I am the proprietor of Little Darlings Nanny Agency.

I started the agency in 2001; at that time I was working full-time as a nanny for a family who were about to relocate to Hong Kong. I thought this was the perfect time to start a new venture so I continued to work as a nanny, and run the agency in the evenings. This was a sensible move as most of my clients work during the day and nannies can not always make appointments during the normal 9 – 5 hours.

Four years on and I continue to run the agency in the evenings as I now have a very active little boy and a new baby who keep me very busy during the day, so most of my calls and appointments are dealt with during the hours of 6.30pm and 9.30pm. All my clients and nannies are well aware of the hours I work and this suits them too. Of course if an urgent matter arises during the day then I could deal with it immediately.

After being a nanny for fifteen years and now a parent I can usually see both sides to most queries.
